Job Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role will work closely with project managers, field superintendents, and executive leadership to optimize processes, manage resources, and drive operational efficiency across all projects. The Operations Manager will also play a key role in strategic planning and ensuring alignment between preconstruction, field operations, and project management teams.Requirements: Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Ensure that all electrical projects are executed efficiently, meeting the company's standards for quality, safety, and profitability. Oversee project timelines and ensure compliance with established schedules.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project managers, field superintendents, and other operational staff. Provide direction, set performance goals, and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Resource Management: Manage manpower, equipment, and materials to ensure they are utilized effectively across projects. Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate and improve operational processes, including project planning, execution, and communication. Implement best practices and streamline workflows to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and financial performance. Ensure that projects remain profitable by managing costs, negotiating contracts, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and that projects are aligned with their expectations. Handle escalations and provide solutions to project challenges.
  • Safety Compliance: Oversee and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with safety officers to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
  • Cross-Departmental Coordination: Work closely with preconstruction, and project management teams to ensure alignment between design, planning, and field execution. Address any operational challenges that may arise.
  • Strategic Planning: Assist in long-term operational planning and the development of company growth strategies. Contribute to business development by identifying operational efficiencies that enhance the company's competitive advantage.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present operational reports to executive leadership, detailing project performance, operational metrics, and financial health.Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in electrical contracting, with at least 3-5 years in a management or supervisory role.
    • Strong knowledge of electrical construction processes, codes, and safety regulations.
    • Proven track record in managing large-scale electrical projects ($1M+).
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
    • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and project profitability.
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Accubid, Bluebeam).Preferred Qualifications:
      • Experience with design-build projects and preconstruction planning.
