Job Description:
What this job involves - The Maintenance Mechanic supports the
operation, inspection, and maintenance processes of mechanical,
electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned
facilities. The mechanic assists in maintenance and repair efforts
and independently performs defined tasks. The mechanic performs
inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior
areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing
systems, lighting, etc. The maintenance mechanic must have
experience with performing computer-generated PMs, work orders,
strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Excel programs, and
experience with blueprint reading.What is your day to day?
- Maintain lighting system replacement of light bulbs, ballasts,
and LED lights
- Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of
building and HVAC, Plumbing fixtures, Electrical equipment
- General interior maintenance - hang pictures, assemble
shelving, install computer monitor bracket arms, repair office
furniture systems and sit/stand desks. Minor plumbing repairs but
not limited to; flush valves, vacuum breakers, faucets, electronic
faucets and flush valves
- Completes special tasks that include but are not limited to;
patching and painting wall repairs, locksmith work, replace broken
ceramic floor tile and/or grout repairs, replace stained or damaged
carpet, and ceiling tiles
- tenant services requests, and general maintenance as
assigned.
- Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other
materials as requested, conference room setups and re-sets,
- Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence
efforts, reporting on as-found conditions impacting satisfactory
client occupancy and operations.
- This position requires the employee to be on call for
after-hours emergencies.
- Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good
housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety
hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
- Maintain compliance with State, County, or City Ordinances,
Codes, or Laws.
- Compliance with all policies for the safe storage, usage, and
disposal of hazardous materials.
- Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational
process training programs
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Documents work performance and materials procurement as
directed.
- Works daily on the computer to retrieve and complete work
orders, order parts, and complete all JLL safety training
- Ability to lift a minimum of 80 lbs., use ladders up to 30 ft,
and possess mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and drive.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and
written.
- Successful candidate must be a self-motivated individual who
can work independently or in a team environment.
- Other assigned operational tasks as may be typically expected
of the Maintenance Mechanic role. Desired experience and technical
skills Required:
- Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver's
license.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Successful candidate must be a self-motivated individual who
can work independently or in a team environment.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Word and Excel (intermediate level)
Preferred:
- Completion of an applicable technical training program is
desirable, have a minimum of one (1) year of applicable working
experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic
plumbing, and basic electrical.
- Position requires frequent climbing, bending, kneeling,
lifting, and driving.
- Position requires excellent communication skills in English,
both oral and written.
- Candidate will be provided with tools required to perform
assigned work scope.
